Trailblazers Flyball Demo
Flyball is a head to head relay race consisting of a dog and handler team, a Flyball box and a ball.
The aim of the sport is for each individual dog (4 per team) to pass through a set of sensor gates, jump over four hurdles, trigger the flyball box to release a ball and then return over all four jumps carrying said ball, without dropping the ball or missing out jumps.
The dogs need to allow the next dog to pass, nose to nose, into the lane via the sensor gate and all the while an opposing team is doing the very same in the other lane, each team trying to complete the sequence, with no mistakes, in the fastest time possible.
Dependant on the League, this will be raced over 3-5 legs per race, with up to 6 races over the day of competing.
Flyball is a sport for dogs (and people) of all sizes, ages, breeds and ability, it is a fun team sport with an edge of competitiveness if you want it.

Andy brings along a varied selection of birds of prey along with him. He provides a static display, so people can see them up close and ask any questions about the birds, as well as as performing two flying displays in our main ring. Expect to see a selection of birds, such as Harris Hawks, Owls, Falcons and at least one of our Eagles.
The flying display consists of Hawks and Owls flying at very close quarters to people and falcons flying at speeds of over 40mph. In previous years Andy and his birds have been a fantastic attraction, especially with the children who he encourages to join him in the main ring during the display. You can also visit their static display where you can see a selection of bird of prey, souvenirs and mementos.
Once again there is plenty to keep your little ones entertained during the day. This year’s attractions include bouncy castle and slide, Punch and Judy from Mr Chris, face painting, glitter art and much more!
